My back is already voicing it's discontent at being on the bike, so that will need to be addressed quickly. I'm pretty sure I'm going to talk myself into buying the Foundation DVD on the basis of rave reviews from my fellow OBCers. I've done the free workout on YouTube a couple times, but my back is in bad enough shape that I feel I should really start with something a little less advanced.
April has been designated as "no excuse" month. In other words, I'm getting my butt up to workout, I'm doing my rides and runs and swims and I'm not letting myself come up with excuses for why I'm not. Wind, rain, snow (oh, I hope not) - doesn't matter. The clock is ticking down rather quickly to my first tri - time to get serious.
As an extra little push, I got myself some new road shoes. I'd been using some I got from the local shoe store a few years ago that were, in a word, bad. The shoes were running shoes, but for a different kind of runner than I am, which mostly lead to my feet landing awkwardly and rolling strangely under me. I put off getting a new pair until the winter running season was over and now I have a shiny new pair of shoes to get me going. It's a good feeling.
